Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Machining

 The role will lead and organise all aspects of manufacturing engineering associated with machined products supporting lean manufacturing and product introduction programmes.  A key requirement is to work closely with product design teams to ensure product design outcomes are compatible with manufacturing processes - design for manufacture at mimimum cost. The scope of the role includes:

  • Planned & timely execution of production preparation including high level cross functional activities
  • New product routing meeting best practice standards taking into account capacity constraints
  • Co-ordinating the timely preparation of fixtures, tools and gagues for all machined & fabricated products
  • Oversee the tool management system to ensure delivery of CQD goals and initiatives
  • Management and development of the CNC programming team

Ideally candidates will have

  • a graduate or post graduate degree in Engineer
  • 10-15 years in both product design and manufacturing (capital equipment or similar)
  • exposure to a wide range of manufacturing processes and engineering disciplines including heavy machinery, hydraulics and electronics
  • in depth experience with product lifecycle management and systems
  • strong organisation and communication skills couple with an internal custom focus

 

Plant & Process Engineer

 The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Design, procurement, manufacture of plant and equipment
  • Manufacturing process support activities
  • Process improvement projects
  • Resent, consents and building construction, new factory layouts

Candidates will:

  • Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Be competent in MS Project, Autocad and Solidworks
  • Be familiar with a wide variety of processes associated with medium to heavy engineering mechanical product manufacture
  • Demonstrate experience with turnkey capital projects within a team environment
  • Process excellent written and verbal communication skills
